I am sorry to learn that our cousin Kay Michalak passed away Friday.  She was always a person who loved her family.  I remember her family’s visits to Arizona in our childhood. It was always such fun to see them. We enjoyed reading the letters Kay would write us through the years.  She sent unexpected sweet gifts sometimes.  She is the one who sent the photo of us girl cousins in our front yard—1970.  I didn’t even know there was a photo.  It was a beautiful gift to us all.

I loved that she loved learning the stories of our family history. She always commented and contributed. She shared her notebook of family information she had gathered, and I have shared some of it here.

She loved to travel and see family. She brought Aunt Essie to see my mom in Alabama years ago.  I wish I had been there.  My mom was thrilled they visited.

My biggest regret is not seeing her more. She was going to visit me on her trip to San Antonio last summer. She wanted me to scan family photos so I could share them with all of you. Unfortunately, I was not doing well at the time and postponed it for another time.  You always think there will be another time, but that is unfortunately not true.  I can’t express how badly I feel about not seeing her.

I encourage you to come to the Tucker Reunion.  Don’t miss out on seeing family while we are still here.  I know she would have loved to join us.

My deepest condolences to her family. She will be missed dearly.
